Black Mesh Issue

I tried both MeshMaker and the XC_Engine's BrushToMesh feature, in both cases the resulting mesh appears completely black when testing my map (though its texture is visible when it's selected in the editor).

Anybody know what I'm doing wrong and how to fix it?

Try using bUnlit = True. It might be a lightning issue in spot and then... light has to be ignored.

One time I face weird case when on one part of huge level all meshes turn to black.
Make new empty map with some light and put mesh here. if it black anyway - then issue with mesh itself.

Meshes have dynamic lighting, so they will be black without lights.

This is the right answer.

It seems everyone missed the weapon being completely black too, meaning that no lights have been placed in the map yet, hence the mesh being fully dark.

then,,,if the mesh is definitively not the problem but is dark how do you enlighten it by adding a bulb icon near mesh?

Yes. When testing I had built geometry only - so there was no lighting - so the mesh was black.

I added a light near the mesh, rebuilt everything, and when I tested the mesh's texture was visible.
