Jeeps might be a bit much, but that space looks ideal for Mantas.

This opinion based on actual gameplay experience? Since I play it (video be soon). And jeeps is fine. Manta, from other side, so-so.

Manta covers the weapon, when you stand behind it, you can barely see it.

No, haven't been playing UT much lately... but your video up there confirms my point.

A lot of the play areas, except at ground level, are far too narrow for the jeeps to negotiate... but the mantas seem to handle everywhere fine.
