Good job on that map Creavion, but I'd say it's a lil overcomplicated.

lol, I swapped 2 words. I was a bit tired when I posted that.
Hmmm, low poly freak, that sounds cool.
It's still overcomplicated imho regardless of the amount of polygons.

Edit: I have finished my map. Go to my page for more info & downloads.

Egypt, Piramids and Frags

Pyramid...
And why do you say from yourself, you have just released an other CRAPPY map.. sounds not very inviting.

BTW: Your selected download site is really crappy.. the dl speed is simply omfg-I-guess-I-have-ISDN...

I suggest you to register for a free account on filefront.

Played it some minutes:
First I have to say that this map is much better as that what I have seen in the community pack.
Archi is maybe a little bit simple but ok. Only this water area on the lowest floor is a little bit strange. But swimming in a DM map is not that good idea. The corridor is for that too long. Maybe its better to lower the water level.

Some points I mentioned regarding to weapon placement. I miss to be honest a weapon in that water area. The medboxes are not bad from the idea, but there is still something missing.
And the height difference between flak/sniper and RL/Shock is - at least for me - a little bit much. Maybe adding a pulse gun or a minigun wouldnt be that bad, but is your decision, I dont want to impose this to you.
An additional plus point for the complete mylevelling of your stuff, so should it be :tu:

I liked it even though I'm not much into arena DM. Aside from what has been mentioned previously I would suggest two changes.

1 - mark the elevators a little better so that they are instantly recognizable as a route option even from a distance.

2 - make the beams/supports below the upper bridges a bit lower so that a player can walk under them (or crouch using the custom 'ducking' zone). This would be a great place to hide a pickup or two. Alternatively (read: don't do both) you can place the pickups on the ends of the structure to make them both limiting the players route and exposing them to enemy fire. Right now these structures are kind of boring.

Overall, this map is certainly an improvement in regards to z-axis. I remember playing Dark Corruption and thinking - Geez, this place has wicked style, if only it had z-axis. . .

Haven't checked this forum and especially this thead for too long. Here's some of my current work (for FOT5)

@Crev: Nice looking egypt theme. It's very stargate'ish. But it looks a bit crammed.

I've seen these pictures at least in three forums
I think, in the last picture there is something missing on the back wall. Already a little lifting hole can improve the great architecure a bit :)

Attentionwhoring FTW!
Edit: Argh,....back not black^^

All I can say is that the maps layout isn't done. ATM I've done with r.a. 2/3 of the whole map. Though the screenshots were taken from a version with all doorframes to the missing 1/3. Maybe there will be more (I can't tell right now, I have to finish the layout first.) The Final version will have some walldeco's and some more details (wires and stuff). The bigger metall plate walls will get some odlskool western stil advertisments... I think the final map will not look empty in any place.

Where? I don't see anything

Edit: After seeing the picture in big size I must say that you have the same mapping style as I :filling the map until there is no space for blank walls
It looks good. More critic you get when you can show more :P
