There is no need to worry about decreasing number of mappers, apparently some of them decided to try out Ued4.0 and they eventually will be back. Same happened with UT2003 i believe.

Well Ued 4 is like pure porn for mappers and 3d artists

But you are right, nothing beats the simplicity of UT99

By casual I mean you occassionally spin out one maybe two a year, by wannabe I mean, youve spun out one or two but its rarely played or heard of, and a regular mapper as in someone who contributes frequently to the map databases of the UT world, ie (Hate to say it) CN and the like.

At the moment I'd call myself a wannabe :loool: , I've only made one map and thats KingSLaundry and as far as I know its on two servers :noidea VRN and some very obscure one Kleine-Man (vrn forums) told me about.

But as for saying mappers are endangered - Well :wth: they aren't its just that the mapping business is not that often taken upon by players and if it is I've noticed that we mappers keep our mapping and gaming seperate. :tu:

Second one is really impressive because of its contrast, plants and the tarydium, is it a mine level?
The ice skaarj levels look a litle bit to "xidia"

You know my opinion about Glacialis on Excal , never believe Pizza - Man aka Old Grumpy, presumably you know whom I am talking about :lol2: Your Sacrificum - eye candy also, looks so goddamn cool for LP2 mappack but I think that gameplay was a little bit off since you could walk only in 2 directions in the caves. Other than that - :gj: :tu:

i have made a lot of maps for CTF, CTF-RX, BT, Monsterhunt and DM, most of them i dont even remember and i dont keep my maps stored, mapping tends to bore me and like the admin i am more into the coding side and i have been scripting for UT99 for a few years.

i have made more flag mutators/replace than i can think of, several clans use the flags i made and also coded the Newest rocket-X mutator which i named the NemesisX as it isnt anything like the old style RocketX.

the latest code work i have done is the NXStealth which is invisibility for the NemesisXF jet.

heres a few screenies of the latest NemesisX

the missiles.....team colors

and this is the jet in stealth mode.

this is the only screenie i have of the last map i made.

i also do some modeling with Milkshape3D

a few prototype jets i was going to use if i decide to do a new RocketX project.
