Okay so as you might (or probably won't) have seen, I recently got back into mapping and have been working on an arena that in all honesty - I'm pretty proud of so far
But alas.. I've been forgetting to check up with the BSP Cut view..

I can't figure out for the life of me why it's just that certain section.. I can't figure out what's causing it at all (I mean the room is 80% symmetrical, so why isn't it on the other side?)

I don't think that's a problem. BSP, I mean binary space partitioning works that way. When the unreal editor builds level geometry it's always supposed to split the level in half. That's a BSP cut. And then again it splits those 2 halves into another 2. It keep splitting like that until every cut determines a polygon. That's normal. And that huge cut, that big difference between red and green is the first cut the engine makes. The engine uses BPS to optimize performance. You shouldn't care where the engine makes it's cuts since you can't really control them. The real problems are BSP holes, and I can't see any of those.
Just check any other map and you should always see that kind of cuts. Check out DM-Morpheus or CTF-Face, they have the same kind of cuts...

Oh.. Well don't I feel silly now?
I thought that section was red as if to say "high probability of bsp holes appearing here."
I mean if you float around the map sometimes tiny sections do vanish for a moment.. if you're looking at just the right angle..

The colours do not say anything and about the sometimes vanishing sections. Thats nearly normal. Ever checked the stock maps? Even those mostly pretty low poly maps have those uhm "bugs".
