I keep building practice rooms and small levels to further expand my capabilities for the editor, but I keep running into a certain problem.. I don't actually know the player dimensions.. So my rooms keep ending up too small or too large.
I think[/] height is 128.. but aside from that I'm not entirely sure
(Yeah, I know, I probably should have asked this one first, before mapping)
Anybody able to help me out with basic things to know? (basic jumpheight and other things I should bear in mind, too?)
Player dimensions?
Re: Player dimensions?
Player size and movement:
A player occupy 84x36 units (cylinder).
(Even if the player is crouching).
A player is barely able to exit from water if the distance from water
to the edge is 32 units.
A player is able to jump 72 units up and, barely, 344 units across.
A player is able to step/walk if the height is max 28 units.
A player is able to hammerjump a far way up, close to 464 units, keep
that in mind when creating levels like AS and CTF.
