The map is a large scale city map. It is a Grand Theft Auto style map, which is why its called Vice City.

Huge DL, but there is a mega urban texture pack, every building uses a different texture, not one building uses the same texture as another. The urban texture pack has close to 1,000 building/city/window textures. Should be a fun 16 player sniper match. The map size is 16,384 x 32,768x 16,384.

Feel free to open it up in unreal ed and edit whatever you want

Oh god that skybox.

The map looks incredibly unimaginative and boring.

Thats the problem, guys. If you think there is nothing good at a map, well then it is just how it is. Even if you have not pronounced it, he will understand. My first shown stuff years ago was also .. meh. And I can tell you that community didn't mince matters at that time. Well regarding the screenshots: The skybox looks indeed horrible. Poor Myth. If he sees that, he will facepalm for sure. Simple cube houses with different textures. This can`t be everything.

Also credit goes to CGtextures.com I got 80-90% of the textures from there.

KJ, please read this...

I went and downloaded all your maps so far - I'm not speaking to your ART, as it is - People can do what they want, and you certainly have some big ambitions :)

Two points about your maps so far:

1. You should take the time to write and include a README text file in your map zips, and when you publish a map you should indicate there is "no BOT support, for online servers only" or some such thing... It is very disappointing to download something that doesn't work off-line, especially since it is advertised (via movies) to be action packed. With no bot pathing there's no offline action. So I look at the map, figure out in 15 seconds if it's worth hacking BOTs in, but usually just delete it. Knowing there's NO BOT support means I don't have to waste my time downloading. I love urban maps - but they've got to have BOTs.

2. it is a courtesy to credit the sources and other authors, as best you can, of the stuff you gank from other maps. By not doing so you imply you made the stuff, which is false. It's imo okay to use anything from other's maps but spread the props around man. For example, it took ME a few hours of pain to MAKE and that Masked San Francisco Skybox Set you used in one of your last maps - Not to mention all of the other textures I made that you've used... Now, really, I personally don't care that much - I made them for folks to use freely, I've said so, but README files, like a screenshot and the in-map preview screenshot, are imo essential to a published map... and you should give some credits.

Sorry if I'm sounding a bit harsh, that's not my intent - but you get a bit of respect when you do this stuff...

Excellent speech Fraggy. Respect of third party modders and giving credits to them is indeed very important. It does not hurt and does not cost much time. Sadly enough "beginner mapper" don`t take that to heart and simply ignore it.

next map i make will have a readme with credits for textures used, my next map (medieval map) will also have bot support.

btw - your maps at UP don't have screenshots, but you can fix that easily if you want to - just add a jpg screenshot (called screenshot.jpg) to your map zip and re-upload the zip file (don't delete the map page, just click EDIT and re-add the fixed zip file. The system should just replace the zip it has with the new one, but it will detect the screenshot and show it in the map lists. Your download counter will stay the same...

If you want my advice... The skybox... Its just... HORRIBLE!!!! Get rid of it! NOW! omg!, Put a skybox with flying unicorns and pink clouds with double rainbows... Anything but what you have PLEASE.
