[RELEASE] BT-Troitsky

Post by Raylen »

Hi guys and girls,

I finally completed the map I have kept on bugging you all about. I have listened to, and used, most of the feedback and advice I have got from this forum - the map wouldn't have been completed in the way it has been without the help I got from here. So thanks, very much.

If you have the BunnyTrack mod installed - great. If you don't, you can play it by simply renaming the map file to CTF-BT-Troitsky, and playing as a CTF game. Alternatively, visit one of the BT servers in my sig and find it on there (it's only on FBT3 at present, but should be uploaded to 1 and 2 today). Anyway, see how you go - if you have any comments or feedback, good or bad, then I'd like to hear them; I am anticipating this map will probably be used for competition play, and as such, I'll have to release another version, as I forgot to include more than one player start per side...what a noob, lol...

Thanks again <3
Thanks in advance for answering the above question!

Can't find file for package 'I_wont_download_anything_without_screenshots'
About to be non-active
My very last UT map project: CTF-FacePalm (tropical CTF-Face remake)
Why do I leave? click here
What I want to do next: Joining an UDK team (uncertain however) and improve 3D modelling and texture editing skills
Thanks to those who visibly supported me until/at the end!

Yearh I know, that would fit better on a quake related forum, but whatever.

That's a pretty nice (cubic) style. But what bothered me the most is the lighting: In the interior rooms the lights look as if they were white. So reduce the saturation. In the exterior part the light radii are too small and you should add some dark blue lights that match the skybox. The numbers in one picture look rather out of place. It is the font that doesn't fit and the texture is highlighted too much (I assume it is unlit?) and also, the numbers don't make sense at all. For what purpose did the maker include these numbers in a medieval building?

@Crev: Congratulations!
