Map Request: Map for Game Type Carry the Flag

Post by Phorce »

Hi :D ,

I've been playing Hall of Giants using Carry the Flag game type.

I have it set up so that if the flag is dropped then it takes up a new base at the nearest pathnode. This makes for quite varies CTF game play rather than having a set base all the time.

I wonder if it might be possible to set up a special map for the game type. Hall of Giants is wide and open, making it easy(ish) to find the flag once it is dropped. But there are probably other possibilities when it comes to the map design.

Are there any inventive mappers out there that might be able to come up with a few ideas for this game type ?

Hey, that looks like it could fit ! I'll try your map :)

You would have to play carry the flag gametype to know, but I was thinking of something like having lots of defensive positions, or defendable bases where the flag could be taken to. I'll have to experiment with some other maps.
