I started this a long time ago. I didn't want to just leave it unfinished. After lots of science, delays, tests and cake:
Download:
MinUs
dixEEh's mirror
Unreal Playground
Textures from
StrangeFate
Music from
Mono Box Set
Thanks goes out to:
Feralidragon for scripting help.
Delacroix and his clan for the alpha tests and feedback.
Anyone who I forgot.
If anyone is interested in the brushwork:

WOW the Pictures look awesome ... no really ...I like this flair of the Alien movies.
Ah only on the second picture (with the elevator) there is a little miss aligned part on the underside, the ceiling looks fractured.

Wow, this really looks like a kickass map. From all your released maps I would say this is by far the best one yet. Checked it only in flyby so far: But! The layout looks really great, not sure if I could do something like this, really great job. The rocket launcher area (morbias like?) looks also well-thought-out. Good use of textures and some really interesting places. The textures also camouflage the fact that the map is actually not high poly, but since they are looking that good, it does not matter here for me. So far I have not found anything (really) bad. Anyway: The first impression is enough, good!

1) I like your download setup. Simple, to the point, LARGE BUTTON.
2) That has to be the most highly detailed music file (peeked at it in UnrealEd) I've ever seen. It's like a CD with multiple tracks.
Haven't had a chance to play the map yet, I'm running behind for family festivities as it is. Will get back to you sometime next week after I've played it.

I agree with everything creav says here, I just spent an hour in it and went and looked at the brushes version (of couse
good stuff Myth
I'll go as far as to say the best DM FFA in the last year - really gets you pumping
Only minor things - I find it too dark (f11 fixes, so no prob)
bots are quite mobile but tend to get stuck in predicatble places (i played with 6 masterful bots) anywhere there's meshies with pickup or pathes on them they'll often bounce up and down for a while allowing easy running kills (the bouncing is a ut bug, i believe) but that said, humans won't do that (unless they are morons). Great stuff Myth, ps the skies and windows very nice, as usual
Cheers

This is your best work, Myth. Nice flow, but had to reset brightness to see better. Could be brighter.

It sounds like the lighting is at the ideal level for use with ENB bloom, as I always have to drop it down a notch to compensate.
I'll be tying it with monsters and zombies, so I'll spectate on a bot only match to see how the bot issue effects things.

not that fast tough...
Good map, i like it.
Just one question. How did you remove all actors & brushes in the editor without losing them ingame... and does this have any other function rather than prefenting other mappers from using your works?
Thanks in advance...

I'm a little reluctant to play this map.
It looks a little too good.
It's so nice looking I'm afraid I might scuff it or something.

The perfect mod for that alien feel.

HOB's original link is dead, but the remade ThieveryUT version also has the original in it (see the last post).
