I really like the detail you've put in there. But what are you watching on Youtube?

@GenMoKai: Also, nice shots! I'll come up with some next week

I forgot to ask... is it allowed the use of Unreal 227 UnrealEd 2.1? I'm already using it.

I already did this but never released it. I'm interested how this will come out :D
So it has been made before :| well I'm sorting out the layout of the map, still haven't made much progress to show anything yet.

@ASLYE702
Is that Crash Bandicoot I see on the tv and on the shelf?
And about the pair, are they animated or they stay still? :)

Biggest problem right now is to know where to add details and how to do it low-poly... that view has almost 500 polys / view with not even a quarter of that middle part done...

UPDATE!
Even the indoor area is mostly done by now. Will either do the front house pre-base area (it'll be a CTF arena) or the rest of the indoor areas tonight. Also, the flag bases will be UC2 Pyramid inspired (it's a much better map there).

Dayum! I need to hurry up  Great architecture!

Have you considered making some "trim textures", i.e. combining the trim you already built with the base texture to one texture in order to save polies?

Yes but that's no option due to the amount of complex forms already crammed into the map. It would also consume large amount of filespace and that's something I don't want to. People need to be able to download the map when they're online, and that shouldn't take hours. And it makes my already overfilled mylevel directory a total mess. :D

People asked for the skybox, this is the idea so far. I just used Rakaiyn's skybox from CTF-upbg-Battlew00t.

Snow will be added in the inside of the globe

Awesome
Another classic remake.

Considering the skybox hack (transported to fight in the skybox) and the shrink/size-change mutators, could the scale be balanced so you could fight inside and out?
Crazy idea I know, but I do, do crazy.

This with MorphiuPeaks for the pack. I think we are already being spoiled :D

I suggest the Christmas maps use the NW3 ice-gun this year, so if you don't put them in, bare in mind the weapons swap instead :D

wow, you guys are kicking my a$$

@gen - brilliant stuff - you could have it snowing in the snow-globe (with a shaking)
use a diapatcher + particle system + earthquake + stochastic trigger... that would be cool :tu:

@flay - skybox hack? do mean like ghandi did in that ultraman ctf map years ago?
or do you refer to something new ...

@swanky, that's looking fantastic too - polys, what polys? never mind them polys - make it as you like, it will be worth every node i'm sure :tu:

@me - i'm still wrestling with those friggin edge-homs in the sky - this is nasty work... I'm up to 2500 brushes and 1/2 pathed ...
i'm going to need some urban map guys to give me a quick beta-test soon for gameplay ... right now this is a DM map, but could be an asymetric CTF too, although it would take a long while to balance it, maybe even impossible... DM for now - hopefully, once i'm done with the BSP i'll have to make it "christmas in Epicville"
