Gen I think you should have saved that sentence, as you are about to use it again !
I think I'll update the first post, as the thread is getting spread-out.
.....
Damn-it 5 max pics. Forgot that. Oh well...

2nd UPDATE

Well it looks like Creavion is well into the decorative stage now.
The weaving of grasses, chiselling of rocks and whittling of wood is over, and now it's time to make it feel like home.
Red base on the living side is now almost finished. The gardeners have been busy draping vines, and planting....plants.
FacePalmShots1.jpg
Now this is really looking like a lost temple.
FacePalmShots2.jpg
I have a sneaky feeling I'll be using a spawner mutator, to add scorpions and spiders to the mix.

Don't get too exited just yet, as Creavion still has to catch all the insects and creatures, to put their little voices in containers dotted around the map. The audio-artistry also has to make the place feel real.

Stay tuned peeps, and I'll let you see the next thrilling instalment as I get it.

He is concentrating on what he does best, mapping.
I am doing one of the things I do well, talk b*llocks all over the net :lol2:

I'll gladly promote any project that deserves pushing to the wider-public, and like a few others around here, I was being shown the early production stages, and we were trying to help with texture and software sources.
There is no central hub like we used to have, so it is up to us to fill in the gaps.

DM-FeelNaPali is on a few sites, but probably not well-known.

NW3 did not get the push it deserved for the first release (I'll make sure that changes for the final version), but still managed to blip on the Epic radar.

Even though our Xmas compo, was our little thing, I decided the other sites should know about it, and off I went.
This pack re-surged interest in another mapping compo over at UnrealSP http://www.unrealsp.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=2706 (hopefully they can finish deciding on compatibility and crack-on).

The UT-SDK is something I keep pushing everywhere I think it can be useful. Both for mappers and for Shadow, as without mappers testing and playing with it, he will get very little feed-back.
You will notice his voice is another quiet one at the moment, as he too is very busy trying to bring you all a very special thing.

Another part of Shadow is also spending time on the mod FOOD FIGHT!, which I also intend to promote to hell and back.
Other parts of Shadow have to eat and go to the toilet, so please don't interrupt him, until you see the light on the door.

The gaming world is crowded and noisy. We can no longer hope people just come and look.
If people want UT and it's servers to be popular and seem like a good choice against the competition, we have to carry a big torch, and lift it higher than ever, so they can see just how big our guns are.

The "Almost there!" UPDATE

My apologies for leaving you in the dark for the past few days.
I have a "borrowed" net connection that has issues beyond my control.

:highfive: Creavion is almost ready to let us get our hands on his new baby.
The world is now verdant, lush and rich.
I'll give you a couple of shots here, and the link to Creavion's full gallery, with 20 lovely screen-shots of paradise.

 Oh yeah !
This is gonna be more fun for sniping than ever before :sniper1:
prefinal3zbjwj.jpg
The map is now complete and in beta play-test stage, so it should be here very soon (in-fact I can see the baby's head in my inbox).

Check out the view from every angle and have a look at some arboreal-porn

Thanks to everybody for their interest.

I think this is the very final map I have done for UT (only some stupid sound effects are missing, maybe some other simple things).
It is not only because of the very few remaining fans, but also because of several other former teammates who also lack of time and/or interest.
The UTSDK also CANNOT reach a decent development state in time anymore.

To answer Gex`s question: The map is supposed to be for the FOT 6 mappack, unless the project somehow fails at the end.

If a UDK team project is possible, then I think I will join. Although I am not really skilled with 3d modelling and all these kind of materials and texture types, at least I learned the basics.
About to be non-active
My very last UT map project: CTF-FacePalm (tropical CTF-Face remake)
Why do I leave? click here
What I want to do next: Joining an UDK team (uncertain however) and improve 3D modelling and texture editing skills
Thanks to those who visibly supported me until/at the end!

I was really hoping also to post some teasers with the SDK weapons in use, but they are not stable enough yet :(

Seems ironic that I hardly ever get to play UT, when it seems to be a big part of my life.
Testing the maps and mods released here over the past months, have been the only excuse to make the time.

I don't need much of an excuse to play this map, and it plays smoother than you may think it will.
The extra ground-cover in the vegetation, changes this into a far sneakier snipe-fest than I expected.
There is just enough space in this map for me to spawn a few of the new Titans (including a Swamp-Titan), and after a quick test with Loathome's Zombies v5, I can confirm that there is also plenty enough room to have zombies wandering around, while still doing a flag-run.

The Chaos-kick became my friend very quickly in this map.

I like the map, however I fully understand your statement, I quit mapping for the same reasons also.

I have my sights on a certain UDK project. I already got into a conversation with the mod leader. Please don`t ask me about details, it is not sure yet anyway, but it has something to do with my (somehow lost) gaming roots, hehe.
