I made the official thread ...http://www.ut99.org/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=5355
Please don't use it to discuss the Rules. Do it here instead.

Prefix is a bit weird for me, 48SC? Reminds me when SabbathCat (JohnnySix now) used to name some of his maps with the SC prefix. 48 Sabbath Cats? :lol2:

Everything else is good, in fact I was thinking that I'd be better for me if it would be 48h, just in case I won't get free time that day :D

Good luck everybody!

Not really.

Keep it. It's better then a "48h" prefix at least.

What has been done to prevent people from starting their map now and just call it a "48 hour" make? I mean, have you considdered to set some kind of theme or other Things that must be meat in the map, and most important, first release that theme or condition when the competition Begins? How else can you keep the mappers from already begin?

I suggest the prefix: *-48h-ut99org-2k13- :loool:

Nothing is preventing people to begin right now. That is true, but there is nothing to gain from cheating other then to be able to say "I got place X".

contests is the players, because they get some new maps to frag in.
(quote from the main "contest" thread)

The goal is to have fun and make new content even IF someone cheats the players of the map still win.
IMHO an enforced theme can reduce the chance someone cheats but it might also annoy the mapper because they are forced to a theme and not what they want to make.
In other words an enforced theme is not very fun for a "for fun" contest.

I'm in as well!

The prefix is a bit awkward IMO, could 48C (48 hours contest) work? Or no prefix at all? :P

EDIT: Are we allowed to plan the map before the contest starts (drawings, sketches etc.) or is that included in the 48 hours?

Being a 24h speed mapping, that way I can make a simple quite straightforward map that I am thinking about, nothing too complex (plus probably I will take only an hour at it or so).
But yeah, just let us know if the rules allow custom stuff on it or not... not saying that I will add anything extra, but in case we can it broads the possibilities a bit at least in my case.
Seconding this, particularly with MH as a category - I do so love my various triggers.
