I can only suggest uploading at utzone.de ;)

Also did you get the v4 from FnB?

I'm mirroring this file on hellkeeper.net. Scroll down to Qesh to get the pack.
You must construct additional pylons.

It was finished far after the end of the contest ...but if FnB would like this map included instead of the contest map...

Only if the end result is in the 512K limit, I presume.

Maybe add a "bonus" folder containing all the polished maps that exceed the 512K or where released to late?
If something like that would be ok with paper, perhaps the final version of MeinKraft could be included as well

If you think this is a good Idea ...then, gimme all your polished maps.
But for me are the bonus maps not really part of the 512k contest. :noidea

I feel the same, I'm reluctant to include them. Maybe make a second pack along the real one? Like 512k/Beoyond512k ?

I have loaded for my party 2 DM-s from them... I keep sorting as long as I found one almost without Bot Support and other one the same. Fixing is not truly doable as long as they don't include brushes. DevPath seems bugged by some of those "zones" making things worst... I prefer to look at old 300k stuff (I guess you recall it).

The map _is_ less than 512K ... it's also a better gameplay (you don't splat all the time)

whether it's in the pack or not doesn't really matter to me -- if a user likes the concept and wants the better version they'll download it - it's a small dl.

regarding mappacks, my feeling is they should represent the best product, not reflect the buggy incomplete contest maps. Any contest i've been in allows for a revision of a map for bug fixing and stabilsing
etc., for the mappack that follows. This is always better for the users/players. A bonus map would thus be a map included that was not in the contest or missed the deadline etc. I'm not going to split hairs over this, but give the 100-1000 potential downloaders the best value for their download effort, and DropZone V2 and V4 are essentially the same thing, with a minor gameplay fix.
Same goes with other maps that needed minor fixing...

Anyways, up to you guys... i'm sure there's a link around here somewhere for DropZone V4, but i'll link it again fyi

I suggest we invade the mapraider IRC, and don't leave until FreakinMeany clears the maps ;)

The problem here is ...It's just FreakinMeany who reviews the maps. No one other is helping him.
And there are thousands and thousands of maps now in every game section, unaudited.
Maybe should he change his current "One-man-army"model to a community audited model. Where the community flags bad maps.:noidea

@ paper here is the Link to MeinKraft V3
I consider this to be the completed and final version of MeinKraft. however, at 2.70MB it is FAR beyond the contests 512KB (It's the reason I stripped the contest logo out of that map as I don't think it belongs in there anymore).
If you don't mind I would like to see it added to the bonus/extra/etc folder.

I asked FreakinMeany if we can make the process quicker.
He will prioritise it if we let him know via PM when it is uploaded
