DM-Magma-SE

Post by Swanky »

A few weeks back Helen contacted me if he was alowed to update the original DM-Magma file. After some discussion about what would be altered, I gave my ok and Helen made it happen - for personal use, as he said, and some time later I was given back a mapfile for approval. We came to means that the changes made really benefit the map and he was to use it on his server while I would redo the lighting which had also been specified for personal usage but didn't satisfy me.
Fast forward two months or so I finally found the time to redo said lighting. While not perfect it serves the map and I feel comfortable releasing the file. Have fun!

Note that I do not plan on uploading the file anywhere else. Grab it while you can.

Agree, even in this version I would like to see Lift - StandOpenTimed. AlternatePath is not part of DM, without a few lights map have the same look and feel. At least 50 UU between any inventory is a bless for Bot, MBot, Botz, Bots, etc. - speaking about techs.

The rest of Visuals are simply perfect, I did not see any BSP error yet (probably doesn't have any) and this is a very good looking one.

The BSP, item, pathing and layout changes were made by Helen. He also changed the lighting but I redid that.

I played it already three times - map is good balanced, It is not too big and not too small - anyway I like matches with not many bots/players around so that one map become one of my favourites :)
Visually is a nice for eyes, I wonder how looking another maps made by you, Swanky :) (there more?). Can I have some list of them :p ?

What a GREAT map!

Something I would aspire to be able to create.

At the moment I'm on level 0 noob mapping. Add a few blocks and texture. Lol
