DM-Sursum (Sursum)

Post by {S.o.W}DeathMask »

Ladies and Gentlemen,

This is a newly constructed, fairly simple DeathMatch map, adapted for 2v2s and 3v3s, including dynamic action throughout all the map: From z-axis action to shrink corridors for headshot fests to wide areas for Combos or Rocket spam (hopefully not too much).

The map is also well detailed and it has interesting visual effects and decorations, such as lava flowing right beneath your feet while killing (or getting killed), custom-textures, customized statues and dynamic lighting almost all over the map.

Unfortunately, this is still a work in progress, but you all can feel free to test it at our server #2 at unreal://146.0.32.72:7050/ anytime and leave feedback at our facebook page.

I also attach some screenshots for a little preview. Before the map will be published, I would like to have enough feedback from you guys, so the map will be as less bugged as possible.

Here are some screenshots:

Not really, you forgot pathing in a few places, the rest is somehow PERFECT.
I'll test it in my yard as long as I did not see any Bot in that server.

With that quote I actually meant the online gameplay. But still I know the pathing it's not complete yet. Let me remind you this map is a WIP.

Thank you anyway for the feedback. But I'd really like to know exactly where the patthing is missing, in your opinion?

What I can see is the visuals and layout exactly my cup of tea (or better coffee).
But those statues are irritating ...But I like the skin.

Interesting, seem like a lot of blend in for red skin/team as far for playing TDM games.

Will check it out later. I thought the lava area is possible to fall through. I'd add a trigger to make it go down into the lava, funny to watch the enemy fall for it.

Edit:
Ok, played it, map looks different than screenshot and is better. Seem like everything is good so far! (Except running around trying to find weapons of course lol)
Only had like 2 area view that gave me some lag. Hmm.
