Anyway ...I'm having fun mapping it and that's what counts for me.
I'm learning UEd2.1 and start to like it...even so I merely scratched the surface till now.
Eheh, I know :D That's the good spirit. In fact, I knew I wouldn't of win but I posted it anyway, I will put the vote to another mapper XD
I'm planning to continue this map too, I liked the idea I got. Can you tell us what is your map about? :)

Please remove AS-TmC-Snow from the entry list as it's gotten it's new home: GusPack!

It's a CTF map located in a huge trench. Therefore the name "The Trench"

Well, the idea is nice. It seems most like a ravine from minecraft, to me. Trenches are not so tall I think.

How does it work? Do people jump across the trench or is the action in the trench?

Inside the trench...
There are paths and caves and many wooden bridges* between the two bases ...but the trench seems bottomless and if you fall you die in a very dark and fearsome place. Going out of the trench is impossible because you get killed by a strong and brutal sandstorm*

Well, the first option would be really cool actually o.o placing some shock rifles to shoot players who are trying to jump across the trench

Hahaha... I don't know. I thought about to make the sandstorm with a dead-zone and the snowflake texture on a huge sheet to fake the particles. But if you got a better idea...

You remember the pepper effect? It can all be done on the client, you won't even need sheets or anything. Just a 'SandStormZone' actor. Then you can go wild with what the player experiences.
