Animated, Fire, Wet textures

Is there any interest in a comprehensive tutorial covering these? There is very little information around, especially about wet textures. A lot of what I've learned has come from trial and error but I've gotten it all down. I could explain how to create all three textures properly, how to import them into the game, use them in your map, and how to export them into a u file right.

Please do so, Jack.
I have not seen a single tutorial covering those, just what each setting is but not how to do this or do that. It would be really helpful as sometimes I need those but I cannot get the necessary result so I end up using Ice textures all the time, those are piece of cake.

It needs to be in Development but I didn't want to post a throwaway thread in that section. These textures are very specific usage things but they add a ton of interest to a map. Stuff like this:

The piranha plant and the CheepCheep (the flying fish) are very simple animated textures but you can get super involved with it. A lot of the FF effects were animated textures, like the Saucier's fire and the brocconade explosion. I did some wet texture work but it was in my Unreal server, you guys may not have seen it.

I've been wondering how large a small movie would be to import to UT for like a TV or small video screen. Might be nice to be able to make a pre-map intro that's interesting. I'll add a triggered animated texture to this and create a generic map introduction room to show how to set up a map with these assets.

You fail as a gamer when you don't know what a Cheep Cheep is.

A great idea as it is a transferable skill.
I am reminded of how blown away I was when I first tried the animated camo skin for the Warhammer marines.

Then the Mapping section would be a good place instead of Tips and Tricks.
AND MAKE THIS THREAD STICKY! You hear me UT99.org staff crew...

I'll start on this tonight. I need to create some simple assets to post in a download beforehand. I think I'll do an animated sprite as well as a small movie first.

FireTextures surely has some high potential to create some smart texture fx
