some mappies coming up!

Post by TheCorey »

Finally got some stuff to be posted!

BT+Nightquest

http://img136.imageshack.us/img136/6774/nqbk2tt6.gif

Here it is , a half year after my set deadline, my bunnytrack map that makes use of keys. Enjoy!

download

Feel free to put it on servers! Might want to run some test to be sure though. I haven't fully tested it.

http://img265.imageshack.us/img265/9390 ... ot2jp6.jpg

A capture the flag map with fast gameplay. Red base has a night setting and blue base has a day settting. The map supports normal weapons and also instagib.

This map is as good as done, I only need a few people to BETA test it to improve those small things I'm missing.

A small Bunnytrack map. After a few tests on this map I've found some bug and issues. I'm still in the process of fixing some of those. For the rest it's done.

Sorry the images are all posted as links, didn't feel like resizing all of them for this forum. Maybe shade can install an image resize mod. Or just allow more then 540 pixels wide.

Uff. PNGs were not really necessary, were they? I feel with my DSL 3000 as a Modem User. And the fact, that I am from Germany makes the speed to that server not really faster. Nearly every imagehoster offers thumbnails.

Well, if you allow, these are pics from my BT Map, but not finished ... or ever finished or not finished so far? I don`t know, I am not good with that BT stuff. I am really a Noob player and I think, you have to be a (semi) pro to build good BT Maps, otherwise you can build maybe nice maps, but they are boring.

Somewhere in the woods of the Skaarj Passage...

[Edit] I wish I would know the difference between "woods" and "forest" :!:

in the forests = in den Wäldern, ich wander durch die Wälder
in the woods = im Gestrüpp, ich bahne mir ein Weg durchs Gestrüpp

I think thats the right meaning. ;)

Wow, nice pics guys, all really looks really nice. :)

@Creavion: One thing to consider, I wouldn't recommend using such a big ammount of trees ( meshes ) because 1) They have collison troubles, well, some of them ; and 2) Such ammount of those can really screw up the perfomance.

Don`t worry. The wooded area is not as big as you could believe. The most plants are around this ähm skeleton parts with the powerups. It runs on my machine very well. No problems.
Furthermore I have two alternatives to upgrade the perfo: I can use the visiblity radius of meshes (what you can`t see, will not be calculated) and I converted all my meshes before into LODMeshes. Standard LOD of my meshes is 0.5 or 0.75.

Edit: I will use block alls for collision for the trees and not the collision of the meshes self.

The pine trees? They are from ut04 (Antalus). But if you want, you can get them... but not today :P
