Local Voice Packs?

I noticed that, for whatever reason, UT has a following just as huge as ours in Russia. Which brings me to the question, do copies of UT that are in different languages have different voices as well, or is it just text only?
If the former, It would be great to have voicepacks of the many different languages. Considering The Tournament is a Universal thing, It should be only fair to hear warriors speaking in native tongues.
Spoiler
I still don't understand why UT's default language is French upon installation...

Well that's a shame. At least we still have things like HGA's Boss!

What's that for a voice pack?

btw. I would kill for some Japanese voice packs of the official UT characters.

Another question, aren't there converted voice packs from UT2k4 to UT1 somewhere in the wild?

There are multiple voicepacks that're not in English. I've got a few in other languages:

I was a big user of Ram2000, the UT-voicepack site, before it got taken down.

In order to prevent you from murdering anybody, I'll upload one tonight... and by "tonight" I mean really early in the morning.

Language characters in the talkbox are English, but the voicepack (obviously not the one above) is in Japanese.

Some have. The french version has french voices, including taunts, announcer, intro narration, etc.

I have UT from Korea, China, Israel, Greece and France as well as the US and UK. Korean version is English all-round, menus and all but I'm not sure about the other non-Roman alphabet versions...haven't installed them.

Like I said mate...not sure about the languages of the Chinese (sealed), Greek or Israel version because I haven't installed them. I'll look into it but I'm guessing they are English voices.

I could take a whack at making a foreign voice pack, but I'd need to know... The other languages.
But seriously, if anyone knows how to break down pronunciations of words in certain languages, let me know what you're looking for if you want me to try.

Here you go paper, the ShogunPack.

There's no .uax, it's just an .int & .u combo.

I found a Russian voicepack, but it seems that installing them would overwrite my core files. Would it be possible for someone to make a standalone version?
