Moira has been added! (thanks Shade for upping the attachment limit!) :D I'm really having fun with these.

Ashe is already finished but I haven't tested her yet. I'll probably upload her pack sometime next week.

Mercy and Tracer have been outlined, but I did it sooo long ago that I may start from scratch to incorporate all of the new lines they have.

Reinhardt is ready and waiting to be put together, and I really want to start on D.Va after that!

So far I think my favorite here is Sombra. The audio sounds really great in UT and I actually use her voice for my player  In addition to Overwatch, I've been trying to work on other characters. I finished Genie earlier this week and will add him to my Misc voicepack thread shortly.

Nearly four years later, I noticed that I never uploaded the Ashe pack... :loool: '

No cute icon this time, but a little info about Ashe from Overwatch,
A rebellious gunslinger who's not afraid to get her hands dirty, Ashe leads the Deadlock Gang with her best butler robot B.O.B at her side.

Female VP includes acknowledgements, friendly fire, orders, team lines, and 31 taunts,
"Just taking out the trash."
"That's what you get the girl who has everything."
"Somebody fetch my butler."

I can't edit the first post right now, but I'll add it there when I can (I think mods are working on something?).

It's been quite a few rough years since I last posted, but I am still around  My brother recently installed UT on his new computer, and I was sharing everything I had with him - maps, skins, voicepacks etc when I realized I never shared my last one LOL. I missed UT and so I went and made another pack yesterday! But the sound is a bit low... It confuses me how some packs come out sounding great, and others you can barely hear. I remember Symmetra was pretty low, perhaps low-pitched voices don't translate as well :noidea This one is a low voice too. So I will not share the latest one until it sounds better, but unsure when I will have another long day to work on it. If it's too low even for me... you know it needs improvement aha.

Edited to add, not sure how many more OW packs I will do, but I have a few more halfway done so I'd love to at least finish those. I have ideas for other vps too but getting audio files is usually the biggest challenge for me. I need to look into software that records what is on my screen.

Good quality Overwatch audio can be found here. There's audio from many other games on that site - I use it quite a lot in finding sounds for my ScriptedPawns.

I see that the wav files in Ashe are 8000Hz/8 bits - that seems a bit on the low side?

Converting them to 22050Hz/16 bits should result in a slightly higher volume/sound quality. I used to use a lower sample rate/bits per sample but have now settled on 22050/16 and have not encountered any issues - personally I wouldn't go higher than that. It may be possible to push the sample rate to 44100Hz but I think I have had issues with that in the past.

I just offer this as a suggestion - Ashe and the previous VPs are fine - upping the sample rate may help address the low volume issue you have encountered.

Thanks for the link! I do have a lot of Overwatch already, but this is handy. I get burned out on OW somtimes though, so I want to take breaks in between. It can be hard finding other good audio I'd like to use.

I was using that setting because my UE had issues playing higher quality sounds. I'll test the other rates again to see if anything has improved on my system. It's been a few years since I tried! Thanks for the help

Updates!!

Thanks to suggestions from OjitroC, voicepacks are now better quality! Not only was I able to get higher quality sound into my UE, but I also remembered a step I was missing :loool: I was forgetting the gain! I make the packs sporadically over the years and I guess I forgot a step on the last few... Somehow it wasn't written down in my steps but it is NOW. So going forward, packs will be much improved. With that said...

New Mercy voicepack has been added!!
She sounds pretty good! I actually made her twice  first with a higher sound rate, and again after I remembered my missing gain step. But now she's awesome~

Also I have upped the quality on Moira!!! That one was very low, so I have made it louder.

Both packs have been added to the first post here. For Moira, if you already had the vp files in your System folder, just replace them with the new ones.

I will be fixing Symmetra and probably Reaper as well. I'm not sure when they will be done... It takes a while to re-cut the sound but when it is done they will be much better! D.Va is next  My main girl.

Another pack is almost complete, though! It's not OW so I'll make a new post for it, possibly this weekend.
