UT Music in 8 bit? No problem! Done!

Post by JYarmosh »

Hi! I`am an old Ut fan. And I do 8-bit remakes of music from UT`99 and Unreal mostly. While original composers used 16 channels I'm trying to make 4 channels. It`s authentic NES-modules. Have Fun. On my channel you can find more.

Play, those are really cool. Might even be ideal if someone made a map with old textures of the same quality as many old games.

Can you do one for Nether Animal?

That'd be Nether.umx, which we all have.

Hi JYarmosh! That's Great! Can we get your utmenu23 in a umx file?
I mean not plain wav in umx, but a pure tracker.

Hi! It`s not umx. It`s *.nsf. Famitracker. Authentic NES.

UMX is just a container for other files.
The new audio renderers do support a lot more formats since they are using libXMP, but unfortunately NSF is not listed with the defaults.

Oh great I can likely put it in a Megaman romhack then :lol2:

Yeah NSF files are absolutely tiny, think I did ask a question if I can convert it to an umx before (answer was no).

Whats really cool is you can look at the source code for the tracker mod music, open up the UMX files in OpenMPT and you'll see the samples used

Hey, JYarmosh, that's how UT99 436 looks on my first broken Windows XP computer! :lol2: Potato mode activated!
Great work! I'm new to this thing you made; is it a DooM mod or reconstructed UT99?
