I haven't checked some of those links yet, but I'll get to it one day (was too busy playing Cytus on my Android tablet). That Prodigy link in particular is quite tempting lol.

Thank you Dr. Flay! :tu:

Well I just about listened to them all now (Prodigy tracker files), and there are a few very useful tracks.
Lots of action-mood and none or minimal lyrics.

(Actually I should add links for a player or plugin just to make sure people can play them easily)

"In space, no one can hear you scream !!!"

Here we have a collection of various audio sources, from NASA, European Space Agency, and also the University of Iowa
http://createdigitalmusic.com/2014/10/n ... -free-use/

These range from communications, and launches, to ambient rockets and machinery.
Some of these collections also include sounds from space that are within the human audio range.

For convenience I have copied the NASA links here, and added the ESA Soundcloud

Bonus extras, from Major Tom.... errr, I mean Colonel Chris Hadfield the Canadian legend, who also recorded lots of random sounds.

The best uncopyrighted rock music for your montages! Be sure to subscribe for regular uploads!

All music is uncopyrighted at time of upload, and available for use in your videos! Make sure you credit the artist in your videos, using the links in the descriptions.

Please note that over time, certain bands may be signed to a record company and thus their music becomes 'copyrighted.' This is something we cannot control and so it is always best to check with the bands themselves for permission!

If there is any music you wish to be removed, please send me a PM and we'll get it sorted straight away as I do not intend on infringing copyright.

Is that legal in any country of the world? Releasing something into the world for free and saying later it is not free anymore?

Hope so. I've got a tonnage of map edits, here and there, with tracks from Rob Zombie, Prodigy, KMFDM, etc...

...or, if it's not legal, no I don't.

Yes it is standard for bands that give away music in the early days to get a record contract and then lose control of their own choices in the matter.
Bands that stay independent, self-publish or are on a small label are usually still in control and often allow pre-existing works to stay free, but limit your use from the point they start selling it.
eg. your old stuff should be fine, but now you cannot use it in a new project.

*cough* No @EvilGrins you don't have them, because they if they were commercially available when the map was edited, that would be music piracy.
Remixes or mashups avoid this problem if they were released as free works (see the previous page for Prodigy tracker modules).

Commercial remixes and mashups, such as the work of Fatboy Slim and the Prodigy have been paid for by those artists. They have to licence each clip over a certain length if they intend to sell their albums.
You can find old Prodigy tracks from before they had a recording contract. They are safe to use.
