Guardian.umx problem

Why i can't listen guardian.umx while playing on UT?

Some thing have the same name i think, I don't know how to solve it because i don't know how to rename that.

Are you sure the map you're playing on that's the music selected?
Have you gone into your preferences and made sure the music volume is on?

Suggestion:
1) Go into UnrealEd
2) Access the music window.
3) Open Guardian.umx
4) Hit 'play'.

I do that, just i can hear it on the UnrealED. :(

This happened to me before, with other music file, because the map had a monster with the same name than the music.

Well ...that's the fault of this genius mappers who doesn't know shit about UT's package system... :wth:
It's not solvable without editing the map.
It's even worse, if this monster Is embedded in MyLevel.

The solution is to rename the Guardian.umx file, but i can't because i need to rename the music of the music file, if i just rename the file, this happens: GuardianUTfix.Guardian, i don't know how to rename the other thing. :(

You guys understand me?

Is the Guardian.umx also used by other maps?

Fix the map that loads Guardian.u instead.

Guardian.umx is a default Unreal file and should stay like that.

There are other Guardian files that isn't just a music file.

I'm wonder who is that Guardian. I'll be glad to participate at fixing that mess by reworking pawn or whatever is inside.

I know such craps as: Organic, Credits, UTDMT
Organic.utx can be deleted from everywhere.
Credits is a bit more... nasty to fix it.
UTDMT.utx is pointless - talking texture is implemented in U - it doesn't need the another same named file.

Probably you'll see many other retarded works like these - WELCOME TO UT !

Meh, don't rush... other time just put files here or link them and we can proceed in solving troubles.

Edit2: I'm not sure if will be ever required by a MH work. This file contains a player model and Bot model, whoever made this mess is -100 skill at modding giving the same name for packages as a stock music.

Future Note:
You'll see probably Engine.utx, Botpack.uax, or such useless files, feel free to remove them. Usually these are trouble makers in servers.

It will make the maps that need it to load to not load/unplayable. That's all.

IT is about textures used for a map... because it's not a stock file. Player who have this file won't have real problems, but a clean client will encounter troubles as for Organic case.
Any clown who think is modder or such will be better to reconsider what name to pick for his/her work before to mock people's servers.
And then why we talk about that in this topic if is not a problem ? The guy posting this issue really noticed it, I would like to know which map has this "beauty" add-on. Some people know that a good work can be done using stock and that won't be causing troubles ever.

Btw, if you have created INT for accessing this model I can see that is ugly, I really don't need it. I go to remove U file from system trying to see which map won't run based on this abomination.

I use the .int that came with it, didn't need to make a special one... though I have edited other skins for it and there's also a few existing skins made for the thing as well. Also, it's not ugly, damn sight prettier than the Skaarj's Queen.
