UnrealED Dungeon Maker - Updated

Post by Dr.Flay »

Due to someone  prodding the old thread at OldUnreal, Henry00 (with the help of Chaos13) has rebuilt a new fixed version of one of his old tools.
UnrealED Dungeon Maker 3 part of the 00Unreal development collection

I hope we can get our grubby hands on the rest of the collection.

This was pretty neat iirc. Basically, it's a program that makes it easy to build very simple maps.
In the end, I think it generates a .t3d file so you can import to Ued with the whole map already done, and then build BSP, lighting and paths, save and done.

No install needed as such, it is a stand-alone. You just build your map layout and export.
There are some example pictures in the OldUnreal thread that other people have done.
You can quickly create your basic layout, then continue editing in UEd.

The source-code is also available if anyone wants to extend it.

Name anything with no errors !

The last version was 3. This is a fixed version of that.
Chaos13 fixed the errors he found, and the docs have not been updated, so there may be other errors you are aware of not fixed. Better ask at one of the links in the first post.

Henry00 has said he is keen for people to make new custom tiles and update the source.
