Over at OldUnreal, Caveescape singleplayer, 3 maps, won't work with Oldskool, unrealshare file mess up.

But it's friggen hard, I am using Unreal Gold 227, but I think it's made for Unreal stock. not sure but it works with 227.

Damn thing, first map is just kicking ass, my ass :loool:

He made this to put the game, back into Game. good luck. :highfive:

But so far these are like in my top 3 of all for VERY well thought out :!: excellent gameplay.

The map I downloaded from oldunreal, the 3rd map won't load.

Since I see Rubie is running a server I contacted him and I got a updated version and uploaded to my Hotmail files.

no there is no way to make them work all for UT maybe some from RTNMappack can be fixed but not Caveescape maps.
cause:
1 used texture format DXT5 is not compatible with UT
2 total points in the maps exceed the value that editor 2.0 can handle
3 some other stuff wont work on UT
this maps below will normally run on UT

the reason I did not count in to be compatible with UT is : why should I create maps for UT-COOP no one play COOP within the UT community I did run 2 years a coop server and I did not seen 1 player connected to it so I stick to Unreal who runs in a way a lot better than UT as a lot stuff been updated on the new patch that will be released asap by Old Unreal team.

Wish I could release my fixed version. I think map3, The way it was you could not even save a game while playing, and there is no point in even playing it since it takes a long ass time to finish it.

I fixed a lot of stuff including going through redoing the massive bot pathing that were all doubled up, and many crashes editing it.

But at least I got to play and SAVE my progress, I suppose I could email him again. :cry:

Rubie is a really good dude. I've had nothing but positive interaction with him. I'm sure you should go talk to him and he would improve his map and be very thankful for your help.
