The model itself is the one from Unreal 227 (the hand with the orange pod).
It doesn't feel much different from it either.

You must construct additional pylons.

Re: Translocator Classic for UT - cut gun from Unreal Beta
I exported the mesh from 227 and didn't realize it exported the one from its unrealshare instead of the converted package i had ready from unreal beta itself (for this I should have simply used a different method or remove the packages from editpackage list).
But it's basically identical mesh, minus the "Temp" animation. It came from the leftovers of unreal sources of meshes that were no longer used by unreal but were left in the source code. Except the code wasn't there anymore.
This allows you to use this translocator in UT(this particular version) and it's been modified from the 227 counterpart to be not exagerated in throwing, so it is more close to the original and to have the playerviewoffset copied from the original instance from beta so it doesn't appear overscaled and everything.
The teleport effect is also more classic and it doesn't use the temp raised hand anim and the animation rates have been adjusted to be like the original.

It's the one to the right. I'm planning to compile the other one in some form though outside of 220 botpack. The one to the left is basically from very very early UT.
Here is a video of the unreal translocator in one of the beta builds from 1997: *(Link Fixed by Dr.Flay)*
