The gun is now very effective against titans in primary fire(against their boulders) and it has additional effect in altfire, making it more useful a weapon in general.

Actually, check the unweapons thread. The Impaler2 version by CodeX has a melee attack, but not an actual slice one. A very old version of the mesh reportedly had slicin anim back when the closeup was there, but we don't have it unfortunately. This will perform a stab as attack.

I've had some people not getting the point of all those files and summoning all the impaler types in tournamentdeathmatch breaking up their weapon chain/etc....

The lesson is: Don't summon impalerpsx in tournamentdeathmatch. Impalerpsx is for the oldskool/coop/unreal gametypes that use unreal ammo and don't need tournamentammo types....

TournamentDeathmatch and its default mutator REQUIRE tournamentammo.

So only use impalerUT in TournamentDeathmatch, how clearer can that not be?!

This is a bugfix update, has been netconformed against the previous unreal/ut versions in case they've been used online already. No released map uses these yet but the release has been there since 2015. The UT version has some short-sights such as the ammo not appearing at the slot 7 and it firing the same way as impalerut (faster in the primary mode), but otherwise identical.

ImpalerUT is meant for DM uses only.

(or any tournamentgametypes in general that use the botpack mutator)
