My last upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10 on a PC is just a few weeks ago. Windows 7 licence keys still work.

same here. I was smart enough to retain the 1703 version of windows 10. Installed it last week as well actually. It was very simple. I installed windows 7 with the oem license. then upgraded to 10 with my 1703 version then upgraded to 1903. Learn the tricks of the trade ;) everyone on the googles even knows this hehe

oh lol, i still had "oldskool" ClassicShell installed, iam on Win8.1
I see that they moved the project!

Can't live without it for sure!

I also have win8 with a free update to win 8.1 original on disk from computer manufacturer.
Since I did read that win 8 was originally made for cell phones, I did download and install windows 10 on mine computer.
Becouse win8 and win 10 are the most same (start button) i did not take a giant leap to windows 10.
Even from win 7 you can upgrade for free to windows 10, which is a very good deal from microsoft.
I just dont know if you can do it like today.
You must login to a microsoft forums the so called windowsd insider program wich is costum on windows 10.
So if there are making a new windows version i want login to them windows insider program. If you do that you will have the latest patches and fixes and other beta stuf they programmed.
And in the forums you can discus what can be bether, hey that app does what he is supposed to do. Maby he dont startup at all.
Thats the feedback microsoft gets, they will programmed new things and the community gives feedback.
Microsoft go's agreed with that and maby the bug or the wrong programmed app will be fixed.

windows 7 will end on 14 januari 2020. No major updates will be availeble but minor updates will be possible on windows 7.
I just dont know when they end with the minor updates also. And ofcourse realy dont know when they are finaly finished with windows 7 what support means.
And to goto windows 10 its still for free i think, just add a start button on windows 10 and you will have the same within the full support and updates.
And i dont know how it is after this date if you can still download windows 10 for free :tu:
I know windows 7 is a very good os, and i realy know why you stick with win 7, the eol date os coming closer and closer.
I just dont know what microsoft is going todo after this eol date of windows 7.
Alot of company's still use windows 7 and xp ,thats why so now and then comes with patches and minor updates.
Even the internet explorer is not fully supported annymore. They recommed edge or Firefox.
What hitman at his best can do is the folowing now he uses win 7, he bether download windows 10 and burn a disk from that or he prepares a usb stick where win 10 goes on and waith till the exporation date.
And when windows 7 is not supported annymore he just can install windows 10 wich he burned earlyier or make a install from the usb stick.
