So what's the deal with the Xloc??

Hi,

I have been playing UT99 for nearly 3 years now, and I must say that I do kick some asses out there. But there's one thing I have never figured out...

It's about the Translocator.

I usually play CTF - Face, and I see almost every one using their translocator so professionaly, and so FAST! Also I have seen pepole jumping super high using the impact hammer, but I have no clue of how to do any of these actions...

How does this guy jump up to the Redeemer like that!!??

I have also tried to shoot at a deployed Xloc at the top of the tower, but I have never managed to fire it to the other tower. It would land in front of the entrace of the opponents tower or it would fill into the hole, but not any further... How can I get it go further??

How can I jump so high with the hammer?

The same guy in the video referred before got his flag go to his base by shooting the Redeemer at the wall, It has never worked for me. How do I do THAT?


I am desperate to learn how to do those stuff or any good trick that would help me and my team win...

Any clues? ( Please include detailed guides if possible )

regards the translocater its a case of get in a server with xloc training maps and practice practice practice...

I myself prefer to have No Transloc for anybody when playing CTF.
That is how CTF should be! - Play the game as a team and don't disappear in lines of blurs across the map - that isn't playing CTF - that is playing by yourself.
