Most people are not that fond of the Unreal1 dispersion pistol. Very slow moving projectile that doesn't do much of any damage, the only advantage the thing has is that it's got unlimited range.
In ut99 most people use it from the oldskool.u, no matter what version you've got each one has it. However, unlike most weapons that the game has there's no such thing as a Dispersion Arena gametype.
Well, not exactly.
You run a typical Arena battle, you setup oldskool to replace the weapon of choice (let's say the chainsaw) and run the game. Instant Dispersion Arena!
Not a big deal but there's 2 guys I know of in the Unreal/UT forums that tend to just argue and argue, i won't say who. Whenever i get around to hosting games again I'm gonna invite those two in and have them fight it out with the rough gametype scenario that's up there...
...or, if i get really bored, I might write up an .int to make a Dispersion Arena gametype just for the heck of it. Wouldn't be the first time I've done something like that.

Make dispersion upgrade optional, like, 2 kills > powerup.

When you do this wee bit o' weapon swapping it swaps out the actual weapons ammo with those dispersion powerups.Higor wrote:Make dispersion upgrade optional, like, 2 kills > powerup.
