Best OpenGL settings?

Post by Pileyrei »

I have a cheap Nvidia card as I only play UT (Nvidia Geforce GT430).
I've been playing with the settings and now sometimes the game runs fast/stutters, then ok.
Looking at the ini below, any suggestions on what to change/tweak?

I had the Swap interval at -1 but that lagged my screen on large maps. Set it to 0 and now its great!
But some times the game/screen seems to fast.

Hmmmm.
Any suggested changes welcome :)

Thanks

Try to set it at 100 for start

You are running with 8xAA and 16x AF which on big maps might well cause an uneven frame rate, though it shouldn't be more than a stutter here and there. What are your other specs on your computer? What resolution are you playing at?

The speed thing is either the swap interval or as medor said, the frame rate limit.

Nice. 100 seems to make it better. Still a little bit shakey here and there but better.
I will play around with the numbers until it feels right.

Thank you :)

Would that be an improvement for any video card or just his inparticular? I just put a brand new Radeon HD6570, 2GB DDR3, X16 PCI express in my computer and to be honest i dont see any difference from the on board i was using!!
