NPloader Files

Post by GAB »

A clan member plays on a Mac with OSX tiger and for some reason he d/led nploader files in
his ut/system folder that i have never seen before.
Could someone tell me what these files are and should he delete them.
They are:
NPLoaderLL_v18-1.u
NPLoaderLL_v18-2.u
NPLoaderLL_v18-1.so
NPLoaderLL_v18.dll.exe
NPLoaderLL_v18b.dll.exe
NPLoaderLL_v18b.dylib
NPLoaderLL_v18.so
NPLoaderLL_v18b.so

And Anth would you like for him to test the new beta version of ut?

The first free look like copies, unless they're different in filesize to the other .so and .u files I think it's safe to delete those.

The answer to the NPLoader question depends on the UT client your clan member is using. Is it the Windows one? In that case, delete all .so and .dylib files. Is it a native OS X client (which I'm not sure exists for Tiger)? In that case, delete all .dll and .so files.

The 469 mac client requires OS X Lion or newer. I have not personally tested on Tiger because it's a super old OS and I don't have any hardware it can run on. If your clan member can upgrade to OS X Lion or newer, then send him/her over to OldUnreal for beta testing.
