HUD mutator (countdown timer and antigravboots). Help

Post by asosed »

Hello. Who can make a simple mutator that adds a countdown timer and antigravboots (number of jumps) to the HUD (watch screenshot)?
I know this is implemented in:
1. UTPure http://unrealtournament.99.free.fr/utfi ... reRC7G.zip
2. EUT http://unrealtournament.99.free.fr/utfi ... Source.rar
3. NewNet by TimTim http://unrealtournament.99.free.fr/utfi ... archMode=f
4. UltimateNewNet http://forum.ultimateut.tk/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=272
I have seen many servers that do not use these server-side mods. The administrators of these servers do not use them for various reasons. I think a mutator that shows a countdown timer and antigravaboots charge will be useful to many. Including for me.

I know about such a mutator. But this is not quite what we need. In addition, at high resolutions, information is displayed in the wrong place at all where it should be.

Only thing vaguely similar I know of is:

Not sure what that thing is for. It looks like a phone-jack.
That mutator was specfically designed for servers, though I don't recall who originally made it, if I ever knew.

This feature is implemented in mod EUT https://wiki.unrealadmin.org/EUT. Ping should be displayed here. I have tried using EUT. This mod contains many server improvements. But at the same time, there are a number of disadvantages. For example, there are drawbacks when recording (playing) a demo.

I think that information about the remaining time should be taken out separately (as in my screenshot). After all, many players (especially in duels) keep track of time. And here everything is shallow. I'm also not sure that such information as score, rank and spread will be very important on the main screen.

That remaining time in your screenshot is created by Newnet and other mods, hence the reason I cannot add it there.
Also the Boot counter your asked for I cannot put there for the same reason.
I am about halfway with this mod and these are the 2 options I can give you.
Which one to you want ?

ProAsm, thanks for getting started on this mutator. I did not understand how this relates to Newnet and other mods. Yes, I have listed above the mods in which this function is implemented. But I'm not going to use these mods. So this place (under health) will be free for me.

Yes, under health, as in the screenshot in the topic. This way, everything looks more logical in the overall structure of the HUD.

Ok try this and see how it goes.
It works on both client and server and has 3 options.
The default option is under the health.
If you bind a key with Mutate ChangeBootDisplay you will toggle between the 3 displays and Off.
I did this incase someone puts it on a server that runs Newnet and the Time Left gets displayed under the health so a player can move the Boot Counter elsewhere.

I will test this mutator and give you the test results. But I also have a request to add a countdown timer there (this is very important). See screenshot

I have a 27 inch Full HD Monitor and I cannot get it to do that.
I even go into Window mode (F12) or (Alt Enter) and drag the screen from full HD (1920 x 1080) and any resolution I want and cannot get it to do that.

What graphics card have you got.
Maybe try a different GameRenderDevice
I use GameRenderDevice=OpenGLDrv.OpenGLRenderDevice as the new XOpenGL is faulty.
Btw, I have not designed it for 4k resolution as I do not have a 4k monitor.

Anyways here is version 2 with the Remaining Time option.
