The game doesn't start, it keeps the flags in the nickname, but I'm going to do more tests...

Would it be complicated for VoteSys to change the name of the server depending on the preset.
Sometimes players get confused when they show up on a server they found with the name DeathMatch that is running Sniper matches, last man standing, or NW3.
We could use generic names, but... It would be nice. :mrgreen:
It may cause more problems though? :noidea

This is a handy mutator. With the ability to turn things on, and off as needed. Makes it very versatile. Almost gives you total control of the server. 8)

Downloaded the VoteSys_main-711d8de9
Put in the server name in each of the presets, but it did not change the server name, other than in game. Not in main server list. Is it able to change name in the server browser or am I doing something wrong? thanks

Are the items in clients "Favorites" updated if server info change?

You arent doing anything wrong. Changing ServerName is just more involved than i assumed and i missed a few things along the way. Ill edit this when ive fixed it.

EDIT: Should be fixed now. Update here.

Not that this helps, but another map vote I used that changed the server name, would do so in the UT.ini file.
It was slow though, and not near as good as what you have going here.

I tried it on my own server, and it worked there. So i cant tell whats going wrong for you. The browser needs to be refreshed to query the server for a name update, i hope youve done that. There might also be other mods that will change the server name.

Yes, in theory VoteSys will also change UT.ini to change the server name. It might take a server restart to see the change in the INI though.

That would be Nexgen that is interfering.
I don't know how to run them together so I turned nexgen off.
Works great now.
I do like some nexgen features, but can get around them.

The screen pointer stays on when you select a map. It will not clear when you vote. You have to double click ESC to clear the screen before you can play. Even after you select a map, and level changes?

I cant reproduce that problem on UT v469d. Can you check if there are other windows that are open at the same time? What version of UT are you using?

It's a windows AMD rent server on a super computer somewhere in Dallas tx. :noidea
They upgraded it to 469e. Runs really fast.
This has gone on for some time now. even before the upgrade, even on an earlier Vote.Sys. Guessing there is a mod interfering. It is annoying, and all complain. It's a little popular, and hard to test without people joining, but I'll try turning off mods to see if i can figure it out.

Edit: Found it to be FragNewNet=fnn290.NewNetServer

Ah, FNN might have a console replacement that doesnt behave like the built-in one.

Ive added a potential workaround for that to VoteSys. Let me know if that fixes your problem.
