Decal Help...

Ok, so I downloaded the 'Decal Stay' mod that I found a link to at this site after 4 grueling hours trying to find it, and when I finally install it the configuration for it under the Mod tab does not show up :( (actually there's a blank spot with no name that doesn't work). There was a manifest.ini that was conflicting with an original one and I tried combining it/ renaming it/ replacing it/ and not using it with the original one in the Systems folder. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, can someone help me find out why it's not working. Any help would be much appreciated. P.S. -UT99 best game ever! :flag2:

Was there an *.int File in the Mod/Mutator Download ? To me it looks like the Int-File for this Mod is missing.

A Blank spot in the Mod menu means there IS an INT File, but a file is missing from the other stuff (A .u, .utx, .uax, etc.) See if the mod requires another mod to run...

Sorry, My computer was in the shop from some problems it was causing me, but this is what the file came with: DecalStay.Int/DecalStay.u/Manifest.ini/Manifest.int) All of which would go in the systems folder correct? Is there anything else that could be missing? :|

DecalStay.int and DecalStay.u should be the only 2 you need.

The DecalStay.int file should look like this:

That's what the .int file reads, I don't understand how it can be so difficult. I have the GOTY edition, unless there's another update I need to make it work?

If you still have the original Manifest.ini file that was in the system folder before you
attempted to alter it, I would try putting that back. Then just the DecalStay.int and DecalStay.u file
in your System folder. Not sure why the usual umod install would have failed for you.

I think the UT install and the utpatch436.exe is all that would be required for that mutator.

If it still isn't showing up right after that, you might want to reinstall UT.....

After a full year I think I know what the problem is, it requires UT99 to be at version 400, and does not work with 436... And sadly, it did take me a year to figure that out. (Although I looked at it intermittently)

I am a bit confused by that post. Version 4.00 ? :noidea

I am very sure it works with v4.36 fine. The updated version of DecalStay
that I tweaked to support the new decals in the MoreBlood mutator was
complied with 4.36....

DecalStay will not load automatically due to the way it was implemented.

You do need to go the Mods/DecalStay config menu and click Update every time you start UT
for it to start.

Of course I would recommend you download MoreBlood RC7.5 and use the version of
DecalStay I included with it, as it will use the new blood decals in place of the default ones.
(in any game, online or off)

MrLoathsome, you sir, are brilliant. Your version of DecalStay works beautifully, and not to mention it's even better with your copious blood decals.
