Just curious... Is there a nuke larger than the UltimaProtos?
I've been playing UT for so long it's practically tradition.

Maybe so but I'm looking for Mods OUTSIDE the Nali Weapons series.

Well, when I developed UltimaProtos back then, I aimed in doing the biggest nuke anyone could ever see in UT, so either someone did a bigger one since then, or that nuke is all you have about "biggest".

Btw, paper is right, NW3 one is bigger (about 1.5x to 2x bigger, not sure tbh) and also much more agressive and pumped up in visuals, so NW2 one will be rated 2nd biggest from there onwards.

But now I am also curious if someone either made a new bigger one or not :D

Well...The only thing i've seen bigger is SWWM's World Destroyer. But that destroys EVERYTHING hence the name.

There must be a nuke out there that rivals the UltimaProtos as the biggest nuke ever.

I just did a comparison of The Ultimate and the Ultimaprotos and found that The Ultimate was actually larger! :shock:
The Ultimate's star that forms in the middle can get much bigger than the UP's but it doesent have a "Kill Everything" Shockwave like the Ultimaprotos.

Speaking of The Ultimate...Despite you saying that it crashes the game I found that it's actually pretty stable...It just lags like crazy. :satan: :satan: :satan:
It seems that the only way you can make it crash is if it's is used in excessive amounts.

I Just got an Idea!!

The Cluster Nuker.

Launches a missile that explodes into heaps of grenades that send out a huge shockwave upon explosion.

If your'e not gonna try out my other mod ideas at least give this one a try.

I know. But What I meant was is that rather than having the grenades explode normally they should have Redeemer explosions.


Also...I thought of a simple idea for a nuke.

Just the Megaton Explosion at 3 times the scale.

The normal cluster Redeemer produce slowdowns on your PC ....what do you think will happen with 100 Redeemer explosions at the same time...?

Fair enough...

Thankfully I have another idea:

Castle Bravo.

Same functionality as the Megaton but the nuke is 5 times the scale as the original.

While I'm on the topic of nukes... Feralidragon, Do you by any chance have a screenshot of the Nuclear Launcher firing a Redeemer Missile? I just like the way the rockets bounce off any other explosions in play. :lol2:

@Evilgrins: Sorry to burst your bubble, but there won't be a NW4. NW3 is already on the verge of what I can personally do with UT v436 without any extras.
So unless I win the lottery so I don't have to work anymore and therefore get enough free time to actually do it in Shadow's SDK, UDK or "something else", it won't happen, unfortunatelly, otherwise I would do it (UT1 itself quite restricts me in doing something better than NW3).

From what I remember The Nuclear Launcher consists of Five levels. Level 2 Being "L" Which fires a Redeemer Missile.

Well, NW2-wise I don't have any screens but that's something anyone can get, if you're talking about the NW3 one, that's actually the Level 0 (zero) blast and no longer level 2 (and Level 0 was created mostly for testing proposes anyway), as Level 1 and beyond are all new nukes, but I won't show any screens or any sort of media about the redeemer like one anytime soon, and as for the others wait until release :)
