Not saying that the default weapons of UT99 look and/or act bad or lack power, but is there actually already such a thing around as Enhanced Weapons for UT99?
Perhaps such thing would be useful maybe not necessarily with more modern graphics but perhaps it should make the weapons more advanced and configurable on their own?
Sort of like NW3 and AW9 but with the original UT99 weapons? Sort of like remakes or extensions of them with more functionality and maybe a bit more power to compete with the other famous weapon mods?
Just giving ideas.

Well there was once a project (CMP3) where the people wanted to update the Weapons and Pickups visually (maybe performance vise too).
But this project was canceled as like others.

I have been working on improving the default weapons for my DM server. Haven't got very far yet but I was given permission to use Wormbos 2k3/2k4 code for the redeemer. That and the sniper rifle have been done. I enhanced the default skins to a higher resolution. I might actually recreate the skins from scratch with more detail.
I have no idea when I will have a release but will upload it here as soon as its finished.

Well there's a mod called Excessive Overkill, which makes weapons excessively overpowered.. Rocket launcher shoots really fast, ripper bounces people around like crazy, minigun has explosive bullets, shock combos can be chained.. It's fun stuff but you can't really call it "enhanced".

Well, making the weapons configurable isn't hard. All you need to do is check the variables of the weapon and make them configurable via .ini, you can even add a Mod Menu for that and there you can change Damage, Momentum, Ammo Capacity, Projectile Speed and whatever you want.
Then for visuals all you need is new Textures and change the defaults via MultiSkins.
I don't know if there is something like this but it can be done without that much work.
