Searching radar mutator

Post by Tawis-karong » Wed Jan 01, 2014 12:41 pm

Searching mutator, that add radar, where player can see direction to his/enemy flag, domination points etc.
Fond HUDRadar on moddb and was very happy...but it always crushes the game after several minutes (sometimes seconds) of play :what:

Please, if you know where I can get something like this, give a link, or if you have skill in coding & free time, create it.
I think many players need such thing, it will help to learn new maps very quickly.

Happy New 2014 Year! Best wishes to all!

P.S. Sorry for my bad English

Thank you, but i wrote that HUDRadar crushes game :sad2:

Example of error

UT GOTY 4.36.
This time crushed after respawn, but crushes can occure in every moment of play (also in spectator mode :???: )

Never have problems before, about 20 mutators and 10 mods are working as a clock...

Tryed on clean UT, simply run game after installation, nothing was changed, and...you can see result higher :noidea

Is this problem in my UT, and if yes, how can I solve it?

I did have a nice UT radar a long time ago, but I cannot find it.
This UT Compass may help

Why would I link to an old obsolete bugged version ?
I know you think you are helping, but old broken mods are not welcome.

The original authors page where the final fixed version is.
http://home.broadpark.no/~koovesen/ut/downloads.html
The original author can help with any problems.

When you find something for your collection, please get it from the author.
Obviously Medor, you did not get UTCompass from the author.

I recommend MovementLocator2, because it is very configurable. After running the game with it, you can find .ini file in your UT's System folder, where you can set the position of the radar on the screen (X;Y coordinates), its color (RGB method), style, size and other things. By color adjusting you can set to show or not enemies on the radar.
In CTF mode it shows only starting positions of flags, not their real position, so it isn't a cheat  .

My vision of its use you can see on screenshots :loool: . MUSTHAVE thing for such newbies as me :lol2:
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

So you can only see your own people and the flag stand?

Yes, and that's exactly what I need for quick learning of new CTF & DOM maps.
But you can can configure them in the way YOU want. ML2 can also show enemy players (maybe not only this), UT Compass shows all objects of the map, but in result it is difficult for me to find what I need, especially during combat.

I'll have a look at the int file and see if I can make it editable via the advanced options window.
It may already be available like that, but I'll check.
