I am searching for the Grapple Hook mod with keybind.

Hello guys,

I have started an UT server on a VPS (linux), the server is already running. I would like to turn this server into an CTF with the Grapple Hook mod.

I saw this mod on an other server, in the game players can easy add an keybind for the grapple. You see the message: "write mutate offhand <key>"

Where could I find this mod? I know there are diffrent ones but I like this one because of the keybind.

If someone know where I can download it, please help.

Hmm..i remember only Chaos UT mod with grapple.
But sure there can be other one, made separately

There have been a few alternative grapple mods made, as the original Chaos version 1 (inc. with GOTY) did not work well online.
The final version 1.1 available from the Chaos site was fixed.

There's been a bunch of grappling hook mutators since the game first came out. I used to use one where it was the standard pistol that shot a grapple: primary fire shot the cable, alt fire pulled you to where it hooked onto.

The problem I see for this is similar to why people can't use the transloc while carrying the flag. Most grapplers don't have a limited range. If you've got the room you could pick up a flag, shoot it to the far side of the map (if it's an open area) where your flag is, and get yanked back over there before anyone can do much to stop you.

I used the grappling hook when I made Universal Soldiers. If someone wants to make a custom one I should be able to strip the source out for that? It's actualy quite fun to play with ..... I remember you could shoot it at the back of a player and attach yourself to him hehe - looking at it isolated, the grappling hook is one of THE best weapons ever made - and it's not even just a weapon! Simple, but very effective!
