Does anyone know if there was ever a more polished release of this? (appears in menu as gametype, options etc)
It's the best monster mod I've found just a little lacking on the finished details.
I know everyone likes TallyHo or MH; but TallyHo is competetive and I like Invasion for it's coop play and Monster Hunt is too dependent on the maps. (it lacks that chaotic feel.)

I don't think there was much put into ut99's Invasion, but I know what you mean for ut2004. That is fun!
You might have better luck tracking down the latest version of MonsterMadness, it's got a built in gametype called "Us Against Them" which is basically Invasion. Works on any maps you've got: DM, CTF, DOM, AS, etc.

I've tried that one. It's pretty good. The radar is way too small and it lacks the ever stronger wave type play of invasion. I noticed there's a tutorial based on it. Maybe I can combine the two and make a better Invasion.

The radar is small, but the range of it is adjustable. I had it hot-keyed to the - & + on my side keypad when I wanted it to see further than its default range.

Gauntlet is interesting but I think I'll keep tinkering with this old Invasion and see if I can't make it work a bit nicer.
The only real issues it has are:
The scoreboard doesn't go away on spawn, and it's rather basic.
Gametype doesn't appear in game menu, and some things can't be configured that should be.
Custom skins don't work.
Xmaps is not compatible. (won't skip maps etc)
Pretty minor stuff. I've done a fair bit of modding over the years, always meant to try to do some UT stuff so here's my chance.

work with {G}Ott (author of xbrowser) and get it implemented .
also with master server 333Networks to add new GT.
should solve problem. and for standard browsers perhaps under Tactical Ops tab for now.
