Brain-fart about mutators

Post by EvilGrins »

Sorta hit me yesterday, I may list some later.

Short of actually using one to see what it is, do you ever skim through the mutators list and wonder "What the heck is that? I don't remember getting anything like that?!?"

Sometimes a game-type installed in system will deliver a mutator for let's say "extra" options. You might see even more than one added and the rest... are hidden (no INT file = no access) they are called by whatever game and doesn't need any other call, like DMMutator known or less known almighty thing loaded by any CTF DM AS DOM game.

Yup often get random mutators after adding a mod or even some maps
I sometimes edit the int so the name is more meaningful, and add descriptions so info shows in the GUI.
Unfortunately many modders are a bit sloppy with things like this, and it is often an afterthought.

True. I've edited mine .int so I'd have more detail as well. It helps, except to find the one to compare which one is buggy and which one is fixed when I was working on couple of them. lol.
