Bulletstorm

Post by Red_Fist »

1 Windows live games out of biz, need to find rigged files to install the damn thing.
2 plays in letterbox scrunched screen mode, no setting.
3 To edit the ini's they are friggen encrypted to try and get rid of letterbox mode or any other thing.

pretty stupid.
Game starts out pretty good, but it runs you through, checkpoints, not so bad but not so good either.

I think they are crazy making this crap like that. especially that stupid ass windows live game crap.
I think I can fix it someday, till then the game is stupid until I get my "FULL" screen. hell why not one inch high and stretch the damn shit across a 1 mile wide screen.

Ha, that's all I been doing for 15 years, I wait to buy but have a system ahead of it's time.

I bought FEAR3 and Bulletstorm both, It was less than $15 with shipping, I never buy a new game anymore, been there, done that.

There is a program to edit the ini's, I found the setting in the normal ini's so I need another session with it and start the game over. so I can relax and absorb the story and the learning curve for the features. Seems ok other than all this logistics making things work.

FEAR3 seems a little boring, but yet it has an appeal, so I have 2 new games for a month or two have not played very much yet.

Ditch all that and return to your roots.

I am living in the past man..... 5 years ago is 10 years in the future.
(And I don't need any new PC's or OS's.... 8) )

Pong ?
yes and packman also.
Well i must say i did play bulletstorm for a few days in the past its runs ofcourse on the ut engine.
After a half hour of playing i did a fine uninstall and never played it again.
imo the games now days looks all familiar its a shoother with some extra,s i mean cod is the game i did play most of the time in the past but nothing beats ut99.
There are a bunche of games who are a first person shooter and it all looks the same.
With the new upcoming playstation 4 and 3 and the xbox imo all boring games nothing new they all looks the same.
No groundbraking news or a game what at least comes near in quality and gameplay like ut99.
just take a look:
lara croft tombraider gets a 5 out of 10 from me you dont have to solve jack shit, give me the older games at least you have to solve something.
Al those new tomb raiders boooring.

first person shooters like doom 4 moh and all other shit games looks olmost all the same for me.
And they are daring to put a prizetag on it for at least 50 or 65 euro for 1 game.
I,m very curious how ut 4 finaly looks like they are busy for years and after a update of 5 gb the game is still not ready.
How long is it going to take when ut 4 is ready ,and i mean realy ready?
sry going offtopic
When shall the game will be out of the alpha state? :???:
unreal tournament 99

It looks like to make the screen size regular aspect ratio, you edit multiple FOV settings, I have to locate a program "FOV calculator". So there is no setting for screen resolution, other than to have letterbox larger-smaller.

The de-encryption ini program is easy, like notepad, but not.

I downloaded a program that modifies a bunch of games, but did not work even though it said it was working, had no effect.

Nothing is working, not even NVidia scaling override, no effect. The FOV CAN'T give me vertical height

In game, and ini's it has my correct rez, but stays letterbox.

Windowed mode is the same thing but you can see the taskbar. big deal.

I will keep trying.

Apparently "Flawless Widescreen" is the go. It is in the first link I posted above, but here is the thing in action:

This software also claims to work:
