What's the difference between UT3 & UT2003?
I've never played either. Are they the same thing??
I have what may be a dumb question

Re: I have what may be a dumb question
What's the point of being part of a forum of folks who've been playing various versions of Unreal Tournament for years if, on occasion, I don't get to tap them for info on versions of the game I'm not familiar with?papercoffee wrote:Even so you had never played them can you still use the internet, right?
Plus, the internet didn't yield a good enough answer.

First google hit for UT2003 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unreal_Tournament_2003EvilGrins wrote: Plus, the internet didn't yield a good enough answer.
Third google hit for UT3 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unreal_Tournament_3
Both are totally different visual and game-play wise.
Re: I have what may be a dumb question
UT2003 was the kiddyfied new version ,engine, UT2004 was the improved version of UT2003 flippy jumpy acrobatics but better than UT2003
UT2004 or 2003 was not like UT99,
UT3 was trying to bring back UT99, but they made it slow and weird, and you have to log on to play even if offline, clicking menus.

Re: I have what may be a dumb question
No problem asking questions Grins, but good luck getting a straight, objective answer. The games are remarkably dissimilar but I suggest watching reviews and/or game play for both games on YouTube. Doing so should give you a more balanced idea of the differences.

Re: I have what may be a dumb question
UT2003 is before UT2004, UT3 is after UT2004.
Which means there's nothing in common between them apart from the Unreal Tournament name.
