Any Windows users (inc. XP and Vista) out there should get patching.
Microsoft has released patches for Windows that fix the SMB flaw that the British NHS just got crippled with via ransomware.
You can all thank the NSA for keeping this flaw quiet and creating the malware to use it.

I can't find a patch for XP ...but I got a week ago (or longer) a security update just out of the blue.
'Was pretty surprised ...then I'd read the news about this ransom ware.

How can I confirm if my system got patched?

Okay I have installed required patch... better later than never, right ? And who knows what any other critical ones are awaiting solutions... after so many years of running "faster and reliable" with an "exciting new look" :ironic: .
