Other than that, it depends since when you stopped checking out the mods and stuff, but there has been new stuff developed in the meanwhile indeed (maps, mods, etc).
You can look around the forum for some of them.

Hah i never had enough skills about how to create maps correctly
I'm back to modelling, in cause that my friends offered me quite stable work - make 3D models for cartoons and other stuff, so las month i actively researching in that way to update my skills in CG.
And now i've got few ideas to work with, but i still thinking about where to mod - UT or U227. That's gonna become a part of portfolio, or something.
