Well, W7 lasted a decade (If I'm not wrong, WXP lasted a bit longer), MS should've given W7 at least a second SP, it was a really good OS.
Dunno you people, but I think W7 deserves to be part of the hall of fame "best MS-OS":
W98-Se
WXP-SP3
W7 (with or without SP1)

As for W10, I like it (and I'm currently using it), but I have second thoughts about it every now and then.

Windows 7 was indeed a good os, much more stable then win 98 and 2000 and 95.windows 7 was one of the best os microsoft created. :tu:

Ignore that.
"your browser" yes only if you are using Internet Explorer which is already out of date in Windows 7 so you already should not be using it.
Edge is now a Github project so Windows 7 users can use that and stay up to date.
Most people will not be using a MS browser so it will not make a difference.

....also just as in Windows XP the MS security software will still get updates.

....double also, in reality Windows 7 will still get important security updates as long as enough people are still using it.
XP got a new update this month because there are enough machines still running that it is a danger for everyone if they do not get the fixes.

As of January 14, 2020, Microsoft will no longer be providing support or security updates for Windows 7 -- apart from for those who are willing to pay for it. The company is offering up to three years of Windows 7 Extended Security Updates (ESU), and pricing has just been revealed

I wish they would put down the cell phone OS, err I mean windows 10, I hate it so much, total crap.

But I thought they are keeping win7 Pro going is what I read a while back.

"
Can Windows 7 still be activated after January 14, 2020?

Windows 7 can still be installed and activated after end of support; however, it will be more vulnerable to security risks and viruses due to the lack of security updates. After January 14, 2020, Microsoft strongly recommends that you use Windows 10 instead of Windows 7."

windows 8.0 was originaly made for cell phones also, windows 10 looks much like it.
The only two things i hate is that they use another start button with another content in win 8 and 10.
Windows 10 is different the windows 7 and 8, you can set things on and off with switches wich works fine.
Minor updates will stil availeble in windows7 past the 14 januari date wich win 7 goes eol, but no big updates anymore.
Sometimes i use iexplorer from within windows 10 but not all websites does fully support internet explorer. The page doesnt load.
So mine internet surfer will be Firefox and edge browser.wich works fine but is not so fast as internet explorer version 11.
So mine conclusion is as folows windows 7 was the best windows version ever, i,m not so glad that they stop with this os.(it still works on modern machines). :tu:
The updates from windows 7 will not be fully supported anymore.sadly
