Can someone point me to the 2001 Unreal technology video with the dropship, the desert map, the lizard kangaroos etc? It was (like usual from around the time) from early Unreal Warfare and used for demonstration. Unfortunately nobody uploaded the video yet on youtube I forgot its name but it was less known than the GDC 2002 video (which honestly was a bit too oomfy for my tastes).
A build close to the GDC 2002 one was leaked with most of the content seen in the video recently, but there's also some unused content like those dinosaur pawns which were from the earlier build and I'd like to see that video again.
I downloaded it from filefront i believe or even gamefront or maybe it was also on what was it called...m files something? I wish my memory worked better.

I don't think this is quite what you are looking for http://talonbrave.info/?cat=58 but there may be other links or info that might lead you to it.

UnrealGGecko: I know that archive, it was me who uploaded that first lol. I had it on unrealtexture.
OjitroC: I know, that's hogsy's site. He said he will upload the unreal warfare build itself over time to his site, so far it has only been shared privately. Either way I can see if he posted any links in the past but he might have missed that video. The problem is it wasn't flagged as Unreal Warfare when it was released, it was just a technology video and I'm not even sure if it was GDC but it was 2001 I believe. That year's unreal technology video basically. And its nowhere to be found now I only see 2000 and 2002.
EDIT: I can't check that movies section because it just fails to connect to medor's site for now.
EDIT2: The IGN article at the links section point to that video, it was indeed GDC 2001 video. But I don't see a download link there just description.

EDIT3: nothing on medor's site.

I hope this won't become one of those lost pieces of media that someone just forgot to archive when it comes running the Unreal stuff.

Re: old technology videos
Had a little crawl through the old wayback machine to see if I could sniff it out for you but there wasn't really anything that hasn't already been mentioned in this thread - very interesting journey though. The only clues I found about it was the announcement of "build 739" of the warfare engine - accompanied by screenshots - which was posted on Epic's news shortly after the date of the 2001 GDC. No mention of any videos there though.
Interestingly, Shivaxi was also on the lookout for this same video back in 2018 to use as part of his tribute to Unreal on the 20th anniversary but I'm not certain if he ever found it. He seemed convinced it was contained on a bonus disc of one of the games so I would suggest checking there if you have any

This is where they were but the links are dead so far, only recovered one is the "2" video and that's not the mesas one.
Can't get it out of here even:

EDIT: https://anonfiles.com/L9ucV5A8o0/unreal2_pc_2_mpg
This is the video recovered by rmjr76 but this is not the main one, there's still one more which showed some tanker or something. This is the trees video showing off staticmeshes.

Re: old technology videos
They are all on unreal.pl still, in the unreal 2 section (plus the site has a lot of other cool stuff still). Good to know. But I remembered it correctly, the Flappy creatures that are broken in the current leak of unreal warfare, are there on the mesa maps (that's lacking from what we have currently) and they aren't completely broken (yes the flappies should go into yet another fucking wrong video but they aren't used in that build, however if you spawn them they float around like hell and get all over the place ignoring any physics whatsoever).
Also what I remembered correctly is that the third vid features in the last part a section from as-convoy or what would become it.
The UT2 video also contains section showing bit of warfare from earlier build that seems to still has some ut stuff as well. That sniperrifle was used in the new build except its downscaled. Also I recovered some old mag with preview of mobile forces which do mention explicitly that they used the unreal warfare engine before unreal warfare supported heightmap terrain and they didn't want to switch/keep going with the "moving vehicle" that was that engine so they kept focusing on stuff of their own and improving that version of the engine.
