R-X6 cache-.u problem

I downloaded a cache extractor, followed the directions then played unreal tournament. But when I try to play on the HoF rocket X-6 server, UT99 closes down then I get this error message:
ReadFile beyond EOF 0+4/0

I have no idea what this means or what I have to do :noidea .

I don't know either (I don't use the cache extractor for a long long time). Ask Fluke at hofgaming.com what may be going on, although I don't know if he agrees with the idea of someone extracting his latest RX from the cache.
Some developers/clans also place some sort of protection (which I am not sure what it is) in their packages (mods and maps), which make it impossible to extract them with that tool.

When I looked at my system folder, I saw the RX-6 .u files there. I deleted them, but that still didn't solve the prob.

A cache extractor is a tool that turns your cache into .u files (you will still have the cache file). But then you have to make .int files to make it a mutator or something else.

rename your Unrealtournament.ini to unrealtournamentOLD.ini then start UT, it will create a new unrealtournament.ini


its not from raping my mod, you have somehow screwed your UT.ini by loading mods you havent got the files for, my RX6 is not a single mod, it requires parent classes (other mods) and if you dont have these then be prepared for problems.

you can copy over favorites to the newly created UT.ini


the lesson here is dont rape mods and make changes when you dont know what you are doing... :tu:

the problem's solved now i reinstalled UT
