Okay, technically this isn't new. Got it off an old Unreal1 site for Coop games.

It's a Ghost (file attached) and sadly it doesn't look like a guy with a blanket over its head. It flies, it can go through solid objects, and it basically goes around chasing people and draining their lifeforce.

The tricky thing is you can't shoot it. Anything less than a redeemer doesn't even phase the thing. All conventional ammo passes right through it like it was a... well, ghost.

It attacks players and bots but not other monsters.

So far, short of a redeemer, the only thing that seems to make it go away is if it doesn't drain someone's life for a few minutes it goes into a wall and disappears.

This is an odd one: The Rebellious Krall

These parameters may change if you edit it onto a map, but ingame if you summon it into a Deathmatch the thing will fight other monsters on a map to protect you, though it ignores other players/bots. However, if you summon it into MonsterHunt it only attacks other players/bots while leaving other monsters completely alone.

Summons:
rebkrall.rebkrall
rebkrall.leglessrebkrall
rebkrall.rebkrallbolt

I haven't entered it into UnrealEd to check how configurable it is yet.

Perhaps if you referred to the source or distro, you may have more info (and an int file)

I edit or make int files for pawns I like, so they appear as bots in the normal bot list.

You can fool the Unreal engine into doing a few things, but don't expect team orders when you use them as player bots.

If by that you mean where I found it, I kinda already did. A few days back in the Obscure Sites thread I posted this link · http://bio-hazard12.webs.com/ · which despite being for Unreal Coop much of what's there works in ut99.

Edit of stupidness doesn't fill me with loads of confidence.

Do you mean if I used that in an .int it would make it able to add special monsters to my bot setups in like, say, Xbots?

Also might lead to some interesting challenges in giving any new pawns, accessible this way, skin colors.

Nice, athough Dr. Freak is an existing model for ut99... complete with skins.

Moving right along... found some Unreal1 conversions.

1st off we've go this edit of a Red Faction character:

This thing is identical to the Rebel Krall, in that it defends whoever summons it. It won't attack other players/bots but it will go after monsters on a map.

It carries what looks like a quadshot but reacts more like a scatter-gun:

Carries a gun and attacks anything, players/bots/monsters/etc, that comes anywhere near it. Scary aim, powerful pistol; I've had extra health a powershield and it killed me in 3 shots.

If you mean that golden looking thing, you already have it. It's one of the themes that comes with the game. It's under preferences somewhere.

Probably didn't hurt I usually sharpen the detail on my screenshots by 1%

Actually, that is one of the original designs for the Krall from Unreal1. somewhere between the Beta-Krall and the current version in Unreali.u, it was that.
